please provide the output of that program which shows the detailed error message. thanks.
Comment 2 Robert Sebastian Gerus 2005-02-04 11:07:29 UTC
it doesn't give any console output, here is a screenshot of error msg window |> http://arach666.spymac.net/screenshots/yanc.jpg

I can confirm this behaviour... exact same output for me...
Comment 4 Jan Brinkmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-02 20:22:28 UTC
this seems to be more related to x11 than to media-video
Comment 5 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-03 20:59:51 UTC
Since it says XFree, I have almost no doubt that it's a hardcoded name of the log file in yanc code that is incorrect after switching to Xorg.
Comment 6 Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-15 14:29:36 UTC
I'm assuming that xorg compatibility patch is not fixing the problem then?
Comment 7 Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-22 15:06:18 UTC
Dropping x11 CC per comment #5. Adding media-video since they're one of the maintaining herds (should probably just be x11-drivers though).
Comment 8 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-23 10:52:01 UTC
Please, remove this broken ebuild... There's about 1 year old upstream rewrite in Java/SWT in case someone is bored, but the thing that's in portage is broken and dead (also another crash in Bug 83773).

Comment 9 Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-21 18:08:02 UTC
Ebuild is gone.
