these updates address many 'issues' i feel existed the halflife ebuild was not marked correctly by version, plus it is mho that the start up scripts werent all that great/extensible the cstrike ebuild installed statsme/csguard in addition to cstrike addon. where this is a cool idea, i believe statsme and csguard (now called hlguard) should be seperate ebuilds do to the fact that they are seperate projects that get upgraded seperately from cstrike i also created a lot of ebuilds for popular halflife addons also, i think the licensing issues are covered by these ebuilds ... the valve license covers aspects of what the end user does, it doesnt affect people who make installers for the server ... plus, by simply running the halflife server, the user automatically agrees to the license, thus they do not really have to explicitly say 'yes' to agree to the license. this is kind of a normal in the licensing word

bass, probably left until after the freeze for the add-ons, but the licensing corrections should be looked at
Created attachment 3627 [details] halflifeupdates.tar.bz2 a new version of hlguard was released
Created attachment 3672 [details] halflifeupdates.tar.bz2 it would seem that the unitedadmin peeps have yet to decide on a 'standard' on how to setup their product and distro it the previous update assumed that 1.20 was similar to 1.07 in terms of dir structure, this tar.bz2 fixes those assumptions (since they were invalid) this newer release also does not come with documentation so a little code was added to handle peeps who have 'doc' in their USE variable
can you send me a link with the license of cstrike server please?
to be honest, i dont think the current cstrike and halflife ebuilds are acceptable ... which means i think they're best left masked until after the 1.4 freeze, at which point ill handle this since i can now ;)
will post update soon
