See bug http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54504 Why was gtk-doc added as a dependency... the package builds just fine without it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Do all aspects of the program work properly without gtk-doc installed?
I've been using the latest version for months now (compiled without gtk-doc, of course) and I haven't noticed anything weird. Older versions didn't depend on gtk-doc and they also worked fine. If anyone knows why this was added, specifically, I could test for that exact functionality.... but as I said, I've been using it for months now.
tested and fixed in portage; thanks for the report :).
