Created attachment 42483 [details] ebuild This ebuild seems to work for me.
where do I get ${DISTDIR}/${P}-fake_windows.tar.bz2 and ${DISTDIR}/${P}-misc.tar.bz2 from, and why are they not in SRC_URI?
sorry, ebuild doesn't work Probably because it's missing fake_windows.tar.bz2
On bug #61357 I have attached an ebuild which works.
20041019 is now in portage please open new bugs if this version neglected to include enhancements some of you may have requested
Can we please take this ebuild out of portage immediately... Wine does not need to be patched with a fake windows drive, gentoo config files, or a gentoo wrapper... it works fine with the builtin ones that have been included in recent versions. It has been my experience that wine works like shit if I compile it using portage, but if i just extract then run ./configure, make depend && make, make install then it runs perfect. maybe a more simple ebuild is needed.
the ebuild isnt going to be removed, deal with it
great attitude, it wont make any difference to me, but im sure there are many other gentoo users out there that wonder why their stupid gentoo wine version crashes every time you use a scroll bar. and dont bother replying
I bother replying.. the scrollbar bug is known since this september and was caused by the -fomit-frame-pointer CFLAG, Gentoo isn't responsible for the bug itself. In the october release the bug should be fixed in Wine, also, and the new ebuild strips out the flags. Please also note that mandrake's packages were also affected by the scrollbar bug. Search bugs.winehq.org for more info.
well, whatever you do, dont review the fact that ive already addressed every single complaint you have with the current ebuild in the current -r# versions in portage and yes, they were done before you decided to complain oh, and do you have any other non-gentoo specific bugs to gripe about ? why stop ? if we're done flaming each other, test wine-20041019-r3
good point. i was complaining about the ebuild posted in this bug, not 20041019-r3.
