instead of syncing to the entire tree, have the ability to sync only a specific category, e.g. `emerge sync dev-java`, or even sync only a specific package, e.g. `emerge sync dev-java/eclipse`.  of course, if the second is also implemented, it should have the same discovery routine as normal emerge..  that is to say, `emerge sync jde` should complain that there are two possible packages that would match "jde"..
