There wasn't an ebuild for maya 6.0.1 in portage so I modified the 6.0 ebuild and made this one.


This one worked for me.

someone has tried maya 7.0 in gentoo?
I'm working on a ebuild for that now

Is there currently someone working on an ebuild for maya 8.5?
Or aren't there any ebuilds written for maya anymore.

Treecleaners,

Please remove media-gfx/maya from Portage because:

- It needs a dedicated maintainer for being a fetch restricted and propietary package
- It depends on app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-qtlibs, which is about to be switched from Qt3 to Qt4
- Hasn't been updated since 2005!

There's only 2 ebuilds in entire gentoo-x86 that needs this package, maya is one of them
