This ebuild (attachment coming momentarily) is basically a set of C++ bindings for python. Used by pysvn (in another bug, also coming momentarily).

Created attachment 38927 [details, diff] gentoo-specific patch for pycxx (to build correctly)
Comment on attachment 38927 [details, diff] gentoo-specific patch for pycxx (to build correctly) just to state the obvious, this should go in ${FILESDIR}.
Created attachment 54556 [details] Updated ebuild for version 5.3.1 (epatch not needed anymore for sandbox) Any news about this ebuild ? I tested Mark Lee's ebuild with version 5.3.1 (except that this version don't need the patch for sandbox) and it work great for me (Python 2.4/Gcc 3.4.3.) Here is the modified ebuild (I removed only the epatch line) that I used as dev-python/pycxx/pycxx-5.3.1.ebuild for the test. Please add it.
Also tested with 5.3.2 (latest version at the moment.)
Created attachment 54627 [details] Updated/cleaned up ebuild for 5.3.2 cleaned up the ebuild - src_unpack() removed due to the sandbox patch not being needed anymore, and removed a QA notice (python being invoked). Tested on an x86 box, glibc 2.3.4/gcc 3.3.5
FYI, version bumping to 5.3.4 works.
5.3.5 works, too ... i hope to see it in portage, soon ...
Reassigned to maintainer-wanted.
(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy.
