Description Prakash Punnoor 2004-08-29 07:12:54 UTC
Terence Ripperda - on of Nvidia's devs - posted a patch in lkml which made the module work with new irq routing in mm-kernel. I tried this patch with my vanilla kernel and it seems after this preocedure I finally got rid of hard-locks appearing from time to time, usually while doing a large compile session.

Please consider adding this patch. NVidia will surely do this in a later drvier release.

Reproducible: Always

Can you post a link to the lkml thread aswell ... so far so good :)

The question is does it work with back kernels without the irqroute patch?

http://lkml.org/lkml/2004/8/23/228

shows the original message. As I said, I use it with 2.6.9-rc1 development-kernel, so I guess it works without the new routing stuff.

OK I've put the patch into cvs with 6111, id prefer to keep things moving and having fixes go onto that version .. possibly looking to remove 6106 given the fix release that 6111 was...

Re-assigning to x11 for record / tracking

Please confirm working, it is here.
