I’d like to take this package, since almost two weeks after it was dropped it still has no maintainer, I use it myself, and it looks not too hard to maintain.
We no longer use these bugs. See: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers/User_Guide#Taking_over_an_existing_package i.e. basically we'll add you as soon as you submit some meaningful change to the package (bugfix, bump, etc.)
