Description ron widler 2004-08-23 18:44:13 UTC
hi,

i'd like to submit this ebuild for a lib which is one of three similar libs by Fons Adriaensen <fons.adriaensen@skynet.be> needed for the programs jaaa (JACK and ALSA Audio Analyser, a very nice tool(tm)) and aeolus (a pipe organ synthie, haven't tried this one yet).
there is practically no documentation for the libs, so the description in the ebuild isn't that accurate either.

for i never committed a patch so far so i hope it's in the correct format/dir etc.

when this ebuilds ok i'll submit the other 2 libs and jaaa (+ maybe aeolus).
take care
ron

so, what's the policy on libraries - requested to be added - where no
other (new) program directly or indirectly depends on it?

may it be added to the portage tree anyway?

Regarding to libraries like boost etc.. i'd say yes, but I read
somewhere (around perl modules) that they're very restrictive to
new ebuilds like that.

Any hints?

ron, can you please submit your jaaa ebuild so we can test it with this lib, thanks.
Comment 5 ron widler 2004-10-07 02:38:01 UTC
hi,

just sumbitted the other to libs and jaaa itself, works fine here.
i'm not sure if i did the patching thing right, it works though...

regards
ron
