Example data files (3d geometry, textures, fonts, etc...) for use with OpenSceneGraph. This is one of 4 associated (but independent) ebuilds: OpenThreads Producer -- depends on OpenThreads OpenSceneGraph -- depends on OpenThreads and Producer OpenSceneGraph-Data Of these, OpenSceneGraph is the most interesting; from the documentation: The OpenSceneGraph is a portable, high level graphics toolkit for the development of high performance graphics applications such as flight simulators, games, virtual reality or scientific visualization. Providing an object oriented framework on top of OpenGL, it frees the developer from implementing and optimizing low level graphics calls, and provides many additional utilities for rapid development of graphics applications. I think OpenSceneGraph-Data belongs in dev-libs. It is just data files and does not depend on OpenSceneGraph (nor does OpenSceneGraph depend on it) but it should probably go wherever OpenSceneGraph goes. Hopefully attached: OpenSceneGraph-Data-0.9.6.3.ebuild
Created attachment 37738 [details] ebuild for OpenSceneGraph-Data
Created attachment 71390 [details] dev-games/openscenegraph-data-0.9.9 My version of the given ebuild. Fixes some issues that Ciaran might highlight when he would have looked at the old ebuild ;) I threw it in dev-games locally. Why is it sci@ ? openscenegraph is not necessarly scientific. I've seen many games done with it.
