Looks like lost_connection.patch is integrated. At a glance, it appears that the functionality of addr_extensions_in_sql.patch has been added as well (thought the syntax looks slightly different).

New major release; this looks like a great opportunity for us to change the layout (Bug 48786). I'll put this together.

Ok guys, I've finally completed the ebuild for amavisd-new-20040701. I've spent over 12 hours over the last 3 days on this ebuild, so hopefully it will be impressive :) New ebuild in CVS.

There are a lot of changes to both the application and the ebuild:

- spamassassin dependency is removed (amavisd-new does not require it and detects it at runtime)
- dspam is now supported (but in beta)
- compression program dependencies have returned
- amavisd-new now needs db-3.1 or greater
- sample stats program amavisd-agent now included in /usr/share/doc/amavisd-new
- the layout has changed; amavisd-new and its helper apps reside in /var/amavis, however the new layout can be moved around with a quick tweak in the ebuild
- razor setup is done if installed
- Gentoo now provides an amavisd.conf with some useful defaults
- new style of banned MIME types and names selected
- anti-virus configuration is enhanced and more appropriate for Gentoo
- all previous patches are integrated into this version
- SQL and addr extension support have changed slightly
- >=MIME-tools-6.2 is now required based on recommendations from the amavisd-new author; this ebuild is keyword masked currently, and will need to be marked stable for this ebuild to be marked stable
- app-arch/freeze and app-arch/arc are still keyword masked on ppc, and will need to be marked stable for this ebuild to be marked stable

Please read /usr/share/doc/amavisd-new-20040701/RELEASE_NOTES for more details!

Feedback is welcome. This release is going to close 5 bugs (I think).

An excellent ebuild, thanks :-)

One Q though, why does the courier patch need applying seperately? This tends to break boxes when I upgrade them without remembering that this is the case.

works fine with amavisd-new-2.1.0_rc4 after changing SRC_URI and ebuild version. 2.1.0 final should be released later today.
