Description VeXocide 2004-07-02 11:31:13 UTC
I have a Realtek 8028(as) pci Nic, and as i boot from the livecd (gentoo kernel)it is not detected. If i boot with the smb-nofb kernel it is for some reason detected as it should be. lspci does see it is there. Modprobe with ne* drivers should work, but somehow don't.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Just boot from the livecd (gentoo kernel) with the hardware
Actual Results:
It is not detected.

Expected Results:
Should be detected normally

Which LiveCD is this occurring on... and have you tried any of my -test series in the /experimental/x86/livecd/x86 folder on your local Gentoo mirror?

It is the latest 2004.1 livecd, yesterday i figured out 8390 needs to be loaded before you can load the ne2k-pci, but it still should be autodetected.

It's a dup of the bug we all know and fell in love with ;)
