Description:   Opened: 2004-07-02 09:39 0000
Linux Audio User reports that Audacity now supports JAck, but it requires
special build options. I looked at the ~x86 results this morning but it wasn't
apparently supporting Jack yet. Could this be added?

Thanks!

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
emerge audacity
Actual Results:
No evidence of the jack flag as an option.

Expected Results:
Enhancement request - the results are not wrong.

NA. Enhancement request. Thanks!

Mark, do you have any pointer/url to that article?
I'd be happy to add jacl support, but to my knowledge this would require portaudio v19 which is not released yet.

Mark,

as explained by Daniel in his email the Jack support is provided in the latest CVS HEAD version and will therefore appear in the next release (1.3.0). I'm closing this request now awaiting the new release of Audacity.

Please let us know when the new release is out. You can do this by creating a new bug to notify us on the update (and reminding us on the new Jack capability might indeed speed things up since I'd love to see the Jack support too).

Sorry for the inconvenience.
