Fixed by upstream bluez-5.30 , specifically this commit https://git.kernel.org/cgit/bluetooth/bluez.git/patch/lib/bluetooth.h?id=3d9fc0e100ed5d2c9151da6bc55381aeafd2fce8 Applying this patch to bluez-5.29 also fixes the issue for me.
