Description Peter Albrecht 2014-04-11 09:56:13 UTC
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329697 shows at least two gentoo users experiencing problems with media-gfx/digikam-3.5.0 using dev-db/sqlite-3.8.2.

Digikam crashes at all kind of actions, because of sqlite database actions in the background.

There seemed to be no problem with the old dev-db/sqlite-3.7.17. But by today, there is no more dev-db/sqlite-3.7.x in the portage tree to downgrade to.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
It is hard to reproduce, since there is no noticeable digikam action which directly causes the segmentation fault in sqlite.

Comment 2 Andreas Mair 2014-05-23 10:09:24 UTC
Hi,

sqlite-3.8.4.3 seems to fix it: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329697#c49

So the new sqlite release should go stable.

Best regards,
Andreas

Digikam upstream says this is a sqlite problem, I tend to agree.
Can we get a newer sqlite stable? i.e. 3.8.4.3?
Comment 4 Arfrever Frehtes Taifersar Arahesis 2014-06-08 10:18:07 UTC
Stabilization of dev-db/sqlite-3.8.4.3 already occurreth in bug #512452.

Oh, Google translate does ;)

bug #512452 is done. I guess this can be closed now. If my assumption is wrong, re-open please.
