Description Matthew Choppen 2004-05-08 04:21:27 UTC
After an emerge sync / emerge -uD system, binutils was downgraded and gcc-config upgraded. Full details in forum (use URL Link above) Now nothing can be emerged or compiled on the workstation, if you want any more details then please email me....

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
gcc does not work hence emerge does not work ......

I suspect it's a package mask problem, which would be the first thing to fix.
The next it how to recover the system so that I can compile again.
