Hello, 44 of the 66 mirrors in the 'qmail' mirror group in the profiles/thirdpartymirrors file appear to be dead. These were checked as part of an analysis of all third party mirror lists. The dead mirrors should probably be removed, and there may be a more up to date mirror list upstream that can be used. The current upstream mirror list is here (just drop top.html from the URL and it's a valid mirror): http://www.qmail.org/ I've tested against this new list and things look much better, here are the results (using netqmail-1.06.tar.gz as the test file): BAD: http://qmail.uninet.net.id/ http://qmail.shape.ws/ http://qmail.ruk.cuni.cz/ http://qmail.willcodejoomlaforfood.de/ http://qmail.rhnet.is/ http:/qmail.surgate.com/ GOOD: http://qmail.geto.net/ http://qmail.rxsec.com/ http://qmail-mirror.jms1.net/ http://qmail.pandakc.com/ http://qmail.mirrors.auchnet.org/ http://www.qmail.org/ http://qmail.mirrors.pair.com/ http://qmail.glasswings.com.au/ http://qmail.mirrors.ilisys.com.au/ http://qmail.ii.net/ http://qmail.mirror.uber.com.au/ http://infobase.ibase.com.hk/qmail/ http://qmail.gremlins.biz/ http://qmail.morva.net/ http://qmail.teraren.com/ http://qmail.mirror.cdnetworks.com/ http://qmail.yongbok.net/ http://qmail.mirror.choon.net/ http://qmail.mirrors.hebergeur.be/ http://qmail.blic.net/ http://qmail.online.bg/ http://qmail.cbox.biz/ http://qmail.zoo-gate.fi/ http://mir2.ovh.net/www.qmail.org/ http://qmail.europnews.de/ http://qmail.kendzorra.org/ http://qmail.cybermirror.org/ http://qmail.mirror.gsnw.org/ http://mirrors.ntua.gr/qmail/ http://qmail.cc.uoc.gr/ http://qmail.cti.gr/ http://mirrors.pmmf.hu/mirror/qmail/ http://qmail.antivirus.ie/ http://qmail.hypergrid.it/ http://qmail.lie-comtel.li/ http://ds9a.nl/qmail/ http://qmail.milthi.me/ http://qmail.omnis.ch/ http://qmail.internet.bs/ http://mirror.tje.me.uk/pub/mirrors/www.qmail.org/ http://www.usenix.org.uk/mirrors/qmail/ http://qmail.localhost.net.ar/ http://qmail.linorg.usp.br/ http://www.qmail.ca/ http://compevo.com/qmail/ http://qmail.gundari.net/ http://qmail.site.co.il/ http://qmail.cavsystems.net/ http://qmail.mivzakim.net/ http://qmail.wcic.co.za/ This new list should be a good replacement for what's currently in thirdpartymirrors.
My new recommendation would be to just kill this mirror group. There is no reason we need a massive list of upstream mirrors for things that are not fetch restricted. Just kill this list and replace it with the primary upstream source.
