Hello, 63 of 72 mirrors in the 'mysql' mirror group in profiles/thirdpartymirrors file appear to be dead. These were checked as part of an analysis of all third party mirror lists. The dead mirrors should probably be removed, and there may be a more up to date mirror list upstream that can be used. Here is a status of all 'mysql' mirrors: good: ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/unix/databases/mysql/ bad: ftp://ftp.solnet.ch/mirror/mysql/ bad: http://ftp.arnes.si/mysql/ bad: http://ftp.astral.ro/mirrors/mysql.com/ bad: http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/misc/mysql/ bad: http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/www.mysql.com/ bad: http://ftp.iij.ad.jp/pub/db/mysql/ bad: http://ftp.itu.edu.tr/Mirror/Mysql/ bad: http://ftp.jaist.ac.jp/pub/mysql/ bad: http://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/databases/mysql/ good: http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/unix/databases/relational/mysql/ bad: http://ftp.tpnet.pl/vol/d3/ftp.mysql.com/ bad: http://mir2.ovh.net/ftp.mysql.com/ bad: http://mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/mysql/ good: http://mirror-fpt-telecom.fpt.net/mysql/ bad: http://mirror.hostfuss.com/mysql/ bad: http://mirror.khlug.org/mysql/ bad: http://mirror.leaseweb.com/mysql/ bad: http://mirror.mirimar.net/mysql/ bad: http://mirrors.bevc.net/mysql/ good: http://mirrors.dedipower.com/www.mysql.com/ bad: http://mirrors.dotsrc.org/mysql/ bad: http://mirrors.ircam.fr/pub/mysql/ bad: http://mirrors.paknet.org/mysql/ bad: http://mirrors.ucr.ac.cr/MySQL/ bad: http://mirrors.ukfast.co.uk/sites/ftp.mysql.com/ bad: http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/mysql/ bad: http://mirrors.xservers.ro/mysql/ bad: http://mysql.blic.net/ bad: http://mysql.borsen.dk/ bad: http://mysql.bst.lt/ bad: http://mysql.byungsoo.net/ bad: http://mysql.cdpa.nsysu.edu.tw/ bad: http://mysql.cs.pu.edu.tw/ bad: http://mysql.easynet.be/ bad: http://mysql.eukhost.com/ bad: http://mysql.he.net/ bad: http://mysql.infocom.ua/ bad: http://mysql.inspire.net.nz/ bad: http://mysql.isu.edu.tw/ good: http://mysql.linux.cz/ bad: http://mysql.llarian.net/ bad: http://mysql.mirror.ac.za/ bad: http://mysql.mirror.easycolocate.nl/ bad: http://mysql.mirror.kangaroot.net/ bad: http://mysqlmirror.netandhost.in/ bad: http://mysql.mirror.rafal.ca/ bad: http://mysql.mirrors.adc.am/ bad: http://mysql.mirrors.arminco.com/ bad: http://mysql.mirrors.crysys.hit.bme.hu/ bad: http://mysql.mirrors.enexis.hu/ bad: http://mysql.mirrors.ilisys.com.au/ bad: http://mysql.mirrors.webazilla.nl/ good: http://mysql.mirror.tw/ good: http://mysql.nfsi.pt/ bad: http://mysql.online.bg/ bad: http://mysql.oss.eznetsols.org/ bad: http://mysql.phphosts.org/ bad: http://mysql.proserve.nl/ bad: http://mysql.rediris.es/ bad: http://mysql.rhnet.is/ bad: http://mysql.sh.cvut.cz bad: http://mysql.skynet.be/ good: http://mysql.spd.co.il/ bad: http://mysql.speedbone.de/ bad: http://mysql.stu.edu.tw/ bad: http://mysql.thaiweb.net/ bad: http://na.mirror.garr.it/mirrors/MySQL/ bad: http://opensource.become.com/mysql/ good: http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/mysql/ bad: http://sunsite.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/mysql/ bad: http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.mysql.com/ Thanks!
Created attachment 367216 [details, diff] mysql-mirror-cleanup.patch Upstream's mirror list is here: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mirrors.html I've scraped this list and tested all mirrors (fetching the smallest current pkg I could find, mysql-proxy-0.8.2) and removed the bad ones. FWIW these are the failures from that list: ftp://ftp.linorg.usp.br/mysql/ http://mysql.mivzakim.net/ Attached is a patch replacing the old list with the new.
