You'll just love this one. Xen 4.3 includes support for ARMv7-A Virtualization Extensions and the ARMv8 architecture. This support is classified as Technology Preview and is aimed at supporting ARM based servers when these are available
Assign your own bugs please. :)
I neither need nor want it assigned to me. It's CC'd to arm, that's key
I can only compile and I can't start a xen environment, is this enough?
(In reply to Ian Delaney from comment #2) > I neither need nor want it assigned to me. Bugs get assigned to the maintainer of the relevant package. That's exactly what any bug wrangler would do, so why not do it yourself?
ago, starting a xen environment I take it means booting into the xen hypervisor in boot, making for a whole new grub entry. I'd say it's enough, and let's see if we get bugs returned. We have no idea if there will ever be any arm users take on xen, though they could attempt arm arch guests. Mike, yep while you're right, I found myself thinking it odd to assign a bug to meself. It's the 1st. time it's come up. While you're 'right', bear in mind the numerous other times I've done exactly that.
I'm guessing you're awaiting the QA bugs filed by hasufell to be cleaned up before finishing this off??
(In reply to Agostino Sarubbo from comment #3) > I can only compile and I can't start a xen environment, is this enough? I said yes before, have you vetoed this behind the scenes? We now have another interested party on CC.
While the support is classified as Technology Preview in the release of 4.3.0, xen officially supports arch arm in the release of xen-4.4.0. Tested on two arm SCBs; a cubieboard2 and another arm board by dlan.
