Description Gábor Farkas 2004-04-08 10:58:05 UTC
i emerged xorg-x11.
glx wasn't working.

i solved it.
i had to do "opengl-update xorg-x11".

the problem is, that it is not documented.
opengl-update only reports xfree, ati, nvidia and mtx.
it should also report xorg-x11.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge xorg-x11
2.start glxgears
3.problem

Actual Results:
it failed to start (glx not found)

Expected Results:
it should start

Didn't know about this option until I read this bug... :-)

...which means it definitely has point.

opengl-update will work for any directory that ends up in /usr/lib/opengl, whether it's listed in the help or not.

That said, I've got a new version in the works with a few changes primarily for developer use.
