missing zope 2.7.0 ? IMHO, priority should be upgraded to P1, plone is really a major OS project.
I just want to comment that the use of zope 2.7.0 is recommended but plone 2.0 also works with zope-2.6.4. From the INSTALL.TXT of Plone 2.0: - Zope 2.6.2, 2.6.4, or 2.7.0 (but not Zope 2.6.3) http://zope.org/Products/Zope/2.7.0 http://zope.org/Products/Zope/2.7.0/Zope-2.7.0.tgz (Zope 2.7 requires Python 2.3.3 or higher, Zope 2.6 runs with Python 2.1.3. We recommend 2.7, use only 2.6 if you can't upgrade your Python.) But I agree with #17 that it is really important to update to Plone 2.0.
i've got now commit rights and i'll integrate the ebuilds directly. yes - it's no problem to run plone2 with 2.6.4. we're also working on ebuilds for 2.7 - but the structure (init skripts,...) has changed quite a lot since 2.6
Ok, with comments 18,19. In fact, sorry for being harsh (?), but one of the main reason why I'm now using gentoo was to have the new stable software faster. (an yes, I'm learning now how to make ebuilds ;) ) Anyway, I'll try those ebuilds tomorrow (no time today).
o.k., integrated to portage. unfortunately some ~ppc dependencies are missing, plone itself should work on ppc.
