/usr/lib/sasl2/smtpd.conf should be /etc/sasl2/smtpd.conf in http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/virt-mail-howto.xml

Is it possible that the correct file is "/etc/sasl2/smtpd-2.0.conf"? I don't have a smtpd.conf.

I have /etc/sasl2/smtpd.conf with the latest stable (x86) net-mail/postfix (I don't have the exact version number as I don't have access to the box right now).
