Created attachment 322760 [details] x11-libs:gtk+-3.2.4-r1:20120902-174701.log The same errors happen for x11-libs/gtk+-3.2.4-r1 and net-print/cups-1.6.1 here (see attached build.log).
Same here with x11-libs/gtk+-2.24.10-r1 and net-print/cups-1.6.1 Same errors as described above. These packages are both in tree now please edit the bug name. Related upstream bug report: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=683441
cups-1.6 compatibility is fixed in: >=gtk+-2.24.11 for gtk2; >=gtk+-3.4.2 for gtk3 in portage; >=gtk+-3.5.10 for gtk3 in the gnome overlay. (In reply to comment #6) (In reply to comment #7) We do not offer support for arbitrary mixtures of stable and unstable branches. If you want to install unstable cups-1.6.1 on a stable system, you can, but then it's your responsibility to figure out which other packages you need to add to your /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords.
