these too can go stable and are directly related -- tools using forementioned libraries from the same upstream:

libimobiledevice-1.1.4-r1 crashes upowerd as I reported upstream:

Since there is an issue, CC back arch teams when the package is ready.

Fixed by =media-libs/libimobiledevice-1.1.4-r2 using -HOME-segfault.patch from here:
