Same problem here with the x86 (ia32) version. On the Intel site there are 3 more updates for the Intel Linux Fortran Compiler. I tried all of these versions - 11.1.073, 11.1.077, 11.1.080. None of these could be downloaded, so maybe it is a problem with the $PID part in the ebuild.
Could you please try the versions of the sci overlay? They are in good shape, but require some more administrative work, before they can be included into the tree.
I haven't attempted to use it yet but ifc-12.1.9.293 from the "science" overlay emerged perfectly once the incantations were set up properly in package.keywords and package.mask. This is on amd64.
Once emerged, though, a command like this fails: $ FC=ifort FFLAGS="-O2 -mp" emerge blas-reference * IMPORTANT: 4 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo'. * Use eselect news to read news items.
