Due its removal in favor of avahi:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403537

Please drop its dependency in favor of avahi[mdnsresponder-compat] or, if not possible, maybe we should consider its removal...

If it does not build against Asterisk 10, that would be a perfect opportunity to remove it. On behalf of the VoIP herd and the Asterisk maintainer: Permission to mask & remove.

Yes, because I would be amazed with a capital A if a packaged that has been abandoned in 2005, and masked off for Asterisk 1.2 (!!!) in 2006 still works. I wouldn't have built for years. Please eradicate it.
