Description Philip Webb 2012-01-30 18:45:34 UTC
When media-gfx/sane-backends-1.0.22-r1 is emerged,
it dumps LC_MESSAGES for many languages,
whereas I have the line 'LINGUAS="en"' in make.conf .

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge media-gfx/sane-backends-1.0.22-r1
2. run 'localepurge'
3. count the large number of files created by Rekonq which were purged
Actual Results:
LC_MESSAGES contains many unwanted files

Expected Results:
LC_MESSAGES should contain only files for "en"

Setting IUSE="... linguas_*" would actually be an enhancement here, if it works at all, not a bug as such.
Comment 3 Patrick Kursawe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-02-14 20:57:56 UTC
The solution is quite ugly, but nevertheless in CVS (in -r2).

It seems to be happening again with sane-backends-1.0.24-r5.
