Created attachment 300075 [details] wicd-1.7.1_pre20120127.ebuild_ambiance.patch The newest version of wicd in portage, 1.7.1_pre20120127, adds support for the mac4lin icons via a USE flag. These icons, while aesthetically pleasing, are not usable on dark backgrounds. I have modified the ebuild to add support for icons meant for Ubuntu's ambiance theme, using the white networkmanager icons. They are activated by the "ambiance" USE flag. Patch is attached. Here is the homepage of this icon set: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=125361

Any comments Jory?
Thomas, I see no issues with it, they appear to be same as mac4lin just white instead of the default black.
OK, added in 1.7.1-r1. I hope that we'll not see a surge of users all wanting their own icon theme added now. Also, please remember to never ever replace that file with one that gives different hash-sums as the mismatch between upstream and what's on the Gentoo mirrors is a pain to fix then. +*wicd-1.7.1-r1 (09 Feb 2012) + + 09 Feb 2012; Thomas Kahle <tomka@gentoo.org> +wicd-1.7.1-r1.ebuild, + metadata.xml: + Adding ambience icon theme (bug 401125) +
