Description Robin Johnson archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2011-12-21 07:57:28 UTC
Portage 2.2.0_alpha81 has broken portageq somehow. This used to work in older versions, as I gave likewhoa a script using it to generate the full SRC_URI listing for the DVD releases.

$ portageq metadata / installed app-admin/apg-2.3.0b-r5 HOMEPAGE

The issue is that SRC_URI entries are no longer created in /var/db/pkg. It's still available in the environment.bz2 files though. We could extend the portageq metadata command to automatically query variables from the environment.bz2 files.

If we do that, then you'll also be be able to query the ${A} variable, which contains precisely the information that you want.

This is fixed in 2.1.10.42 and 2.2.0_alpha82.
