As an addition,I have compiled 1.1.11 at the commandline rather than using an ebuild. I bootstrapped then configured,installed the missing libraries it was requesting,ran make which was almost error free,,,,,,,BUT when I try to replay a real mono file ( which is the format our local ham bbs I get the error there is no available codec to decode the format 'sipr'. I might add that dragon player does not have this hassle,also vlc has only had this problem in the last 3 updates. I assume from the entries into this string that it is being looked at.
Hope for a quick solution.
