logrotate shouldnt be defining its own asprintf. looks like its build system needs fixing ...
After further testing, I've observed that this error appears only with -O1, -O2, or -O3 in CFLAGS. With CFLAGS="-march=native -O0 -pipe", logrotate builds successfully.
Unfortunately, logrotate doesn't have much of a build system. I'd seen this error, but I thought I'd worked around it (and it does build fine here). I'll see what I can do about it.
