If I right click a file in xfce-base/thunar-1.2.2 that has spaces in the name, and then send it to a mail recipient using the context menu, mail-client/thunderbird-3.1.10 opens up with a compose message window and the file is listed as an attachment. But the spaces in the attachment file name have been URL encoded (i.e. spaces are all '%20's). When I click send, thunderbird complains it can't find the actual file.
I can confirm this behavior also with xfce-base/thunar-1.2.1 and mail-client/thunderbird-3.1.11.
Duplicate of bug 365461 that's already fixed ?
Nope, the mailto link is opening the correct application (Thunderbird) but the **filename** is being URL encoded. The %u referred to in #365461 is the email address as far as I can see.
Report to http://bugzilla.xfce.org/ and add a link to the "See also: " field of this bug.
Added the XFCE bug bug report (which already existed) to the "See Also" list. From the comments there, they seem to think it's an installation issue though?
Upstream has waited for 2 years a reply at http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6678#c1 so following up here and closing as NEEDINFO
