I have notice that the a52dec-0.7.3.ebuild use the --enable-double compilation configure flag, and this flag doesn't work on a very large types of sound cards. I have notice too that when ogle use alsa and you change from alsa to oss om rmmod modprobe etc, the ogle doesnt work, so, it IS a good idea to use the flag --disable-alsa on ogle compilation... Thanx for your attentin
Created attachment 1490 [details] a52dec-0.7.3-r1 --> The same attach from ogle update... The new files: a52dec/ChangeLog a52dec/a52dec-0.7.3-r1.ebuild a52dec/files/digest-a52dec-0.7.3-r1
Bernardo, for future ebuilds, please just attach the ebuild. The maintainer will adjust the ChangeLog file themselves -- you will get credited. But please don't tar up the entire directory like this. Thanks for the update.
Do you have any documentation about --enable-double option not working with these large types of sound cards?

Hi Seemant!!! Sorry about sending a e-mail, but my connection is VERY slow and are not accessing bugs.gentoo.org this morning. Sorry about the reassign... I was only testing :) I don't have documentation about the a52dec-0.7.3 --enable-double bug, I have only tested on tree cards: an sb-awe32-isa, an sb-live-5.1 and an via626 and it just don't work on live and via. The sound became strange or just don't work with this option... The alsa support of the ogle-0.8.3 is really buggy, and I had choosed to use --disable-alsa on my new ebuilds... The ogle-gui-0.8.3 is a copy of the ogle-gui-0.8.3 and works perfectly... Thanx for the attention... Bernardo S. A. Silva
Hello Seemant... I have been testing my ebuilds and they really works well on my PC... It works well to on other 5 PCs of people that I know, with hardwares very diff. I have tested the a52dec --enable-double with an CMI sound card and with an SB Live MP3+ and It just don't work with then too. Thanxs a lot... Have a NICE Job... Bernardo Silva!!! :)
Bernardo, I've added ogle and ogle_gui into portage. ogle has OPTIONAL alsa support, as it should. The fix was libtool issue.
