Description Jan Schubert 2003-12-28 06:51:40 UTC
media-gfx/gimp includes gimp-remote-1.2 but no gimp-remote. I'm using at least one application (gwenview) which defaults to gimp-remote. Talking to some other users they replied, that in their distros still an gimp-remote exist (at least in mandrake) and the maintainer of the application denies to change to gimp-remote-1.2 because gimp-remote is (still) default. So we should think about a link from /usr/bin/gimp-remote to /usr/bin/gimp-remote-1.2 to be "compatible" to other distros and applications as well.

Yes, we have this for gimp and gimptool, so why not gimp-remote?
Comment 2 Jan Klesnil 2005-03-09 02:00:21 UTC
This bug should be closed as it is very old and we have gimp-remote already!
Comment 3 Jan Schubert 2005-03-18 13:45:55 UTC
On a freshly installed system i've gimp-remote linked to imp-remote-2.2, but no gimp (guess what I've instead - yes it's gimp-2.2)....

this is already in the ebuild, should be fixed.
