Yea, you are right. Sorry for assuming an invalid report. I assumed such because it builds fine on my main workstation here but I've just seen that it isn't building on my nightly bootstraps on another host. The workaround will probably be to mask the package, but fist I want to see if I can investigate it abit.
Chris, based on the build.log above. I have reason to believe that the procps-3.2.8-linux-ver-init.patch is causing issues for us here. Do you have any suggestions? (Sorry for bringing this up 4 months after bug 303120 was resolved)

Bug #303120 should probably be reopened. Instead of using prioritised constructors, init_libproc() should call init_Linux_version().
Thanks Chris for the timely feedback. Will you attach a new patch to that bug? :)
(In reply to comment #9) > Thanks Chris for the timely feedback. Will you attach a new patch to that bug? > :) > Done it.
I'll remove you, Chris, from CC so you don't get so much noise. Thx again. masked -r2 for now in Gentoo Prefix.
Same (compile phase error) problem occurs with procps-3.2.8_p10 and 32-bit chroot environments on 64-bit hosts.

SpanKY <vapier@gentoo.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Depends on| |390003 ^^ Interesting, because Gentoo Prefix doesn't care about the stable tree. Since bug 303120 is resolved again, we need the following to close this bug: 1) sync procps 2) try to compile it with gcc-4.2 *or* bootstrap with latest procps unmasked (same end result) 3) Upon success, lift mask & close bug
(In reply to comment #16) > we need the following to close this bug: > 1) sync procps > 2) try to compile it with gcc-4.2 *or* bootstrap with latest procps unmasked > (same end result) > 3) Upon success, lift mask & close bug Success. I did not lift the mask because it specifies a version and it will eventually become obsolete. Closing bug.
