polkit-kde-0.95.1 does no compile with polkit-qt-0.99.0 polkit-qt-0.99.0 is actually masked. looks like some change in new version of polkit mean that future version won't compile with version >=polkit-qt-0.99 sugest to prevent future problem (when we have >=polkit-qt-0.9* unmasked) to amend rdepend ebuild for polkit-qt and put <=polkit-qt-0.99 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.unmask polkit-qt-0.99.0 2.emerge polkit-kde-0.95.1 3. Actual Results: fail to compile portage should not allow polkit-kde-0.95.1 to work with version >=polkit-qt-0.99 in future (no problem now as >=polkit-qt-0.99 is masked) this might lead to problem in future as >=polkit-qt-0.9* is unmasked
The intended fix may be to remove polkit-kde and install polkit-kde-agent instead. That's what seems to solve the issue here.

I guess polkit-kde-agent replace polkit-kde. It would be nice to have some info about this (if above supposition correct) when emerging or maybe in kde howto.
Proper blockers have been added to polkit-kde.
Maybe we should add this info somewhere in the upgrade docs.
Nothing to do here anymore.
Without changing this status I like to mention, this blocking still exists on PPC as long as sys-auth/polkit-kde-agent doesn't get the ppc keyword -> KDE-4 stable is not possible on PPC [blocks B ] >=sys-auth/polkit-qt-0.99 (">=sys-auth/polkit-qt-0.99" is blocking sys-auth/polkit-kde-0.95.1-r1) while no polkit is installed: # eix -I polkit No matches found. I keyworded sys-auth/polkit-kde-agent, still testing it and going to request keyword for ppc.
