Description Udo Beckmann 2003-11-27 13:12:11 UTC
The depend() function in exim's init script should contain the line "provide
mta". The counterpart of it is used by fetchmail ("use mta" in /etc/init.d/
fetchmail), Mail-Spamassassin ("before mta" in /etc/init.d/spamd) and probably
others. Please see also bug #22833

BTW: In the portage tree only the init scripts of postfix and sendmail contain
a line "provide mta". So the problem discribed also exists for other mta's

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
