I added some little fixes to banshee-1.7.4 ebuild. Now it's supports udev (gio-sharp) as well as hal.

Reproducible: Always

New ebuild for banshee-1.7.5

Other dependencies for this ebuild (such as gio-sharp) are in 'tante' overlay. They have banshee-1.7.5 too, but without udev support (which is really needed by me :)

This patch steel needs some work, e.g. someone have to test patches for 1.7.4 with 1.7.5
