Description Jochen Schalanda 2010-08-20 09:11:02 UTC
Emerging mail-filter/spamassassin with the USE flag 'ssl' fails on libspamc when dev-libs/openssl-1.0.0a-r2 was built with the USE flag '-sslv2' (current default) which disables SSL 2.0 in OpenSSL.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE='-sslv2' emerge -v dev-libs/openssl
2. USE='ssl' emerge -v mail-filter/spamassassin

Actual Results:
/var/tmp/portage/mail-filter/spamassassin-3.3.1-r3/temp/cc0m6CIg.o: In function `message_filter':
libspamc.c:(.text+0x2b12): undefined reference to `SSLv2_client_method'
/var/tmp/portage/mail-filter/spamassassin-3.3.1-r3/temp/cc0m6CIg.o: In function `message_tell':
libspamc.c:(.text+0x3109): undefined reference to `SSLv2_client_method'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [spamc/spamc] Error 1

Expected Results:
SpamAssassin should be build without an error or at least depend on dev-libs/openssl having been built with USE='sslv2'.

  20 Aug 2010; Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org> openssl-1.0.0a-r2.ebuild,
  metadata.xml:
Drop USE=sslv2 support as it doesnt do what was intended. Will revbump once
#332661 shakes out but for now, stop breaking random apps.

INVALID or maybe LATER
