I have a Quadro FX 1300 card, which mandates the nvidia-drivers 173.14.22. However, I cannot find any version of the nvidia-settings package that would compile OK. As reported elsewhere, the latest stable version 180.60 does not compile. Older versions, closer to the legacy drivers versions, do not compile as well. In fact, the exact corresponding 173.14.22 version of the nvidia-settings is not even in the portage (emerging the drivers package attempts to pull in the 180.60 version of the settings).
