I've heard of people keeping away from reporting bugs because os bugzilla policy to require an e-mail address.
Bugzilla should have an option to keep the e-mail address private so users are protected from spammers

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.file a bug with bugs.gentoo.org
Actual Results:  
e-mail of submitter is diplayed on the bug page

Expected Results:  
option to set public or private the e-mail address.
