Mozilla (or Galeon built against version 1.5) will crash when clicking on some links. Not sure if it's Gentoo related, but an example of the links can be seen at the top of www.livejournal.com.
I can't replicate that here with anything from livejournal.com. Can you give me a reproducible example?
Towards the top of the Livejournal.com main page there's a "Welcome" link. Hover over that then click "Login". It crashes without fail here. I'm just re-emerging 1.5 now and will see if there is any output on a console etc...
works over here. If recompiling doesn't change anything, try (re-)moving your .mozilla
this also has no effect. are you using a similar arch and cflags to me?
seems to be a locale problem : when mozilla can't draw a symbol, usually you have small boxes (like euro when it was not supported) : if your locale don't have a symbol used, it seems to crash mozilla. has anyone an idea to resolve this ?
On other distros, the output of such symbols is like this : (whereas my mozilla or firebird crashes) : http://www.ifrance.com/bmoserveur/bug-locales.png
should we maybe compare use flags for people's that work and those that don't?
I had the same problem but when i emerged corefonts crashing stopped. Problem was that corefonts were masked (~) and i recently emerged world and changed accept keywords to stable only.
Is this bug fixed with more recent mozillas?
No response, assuming fixed
