night@nord ~ % man opera | grep SUFFIX | head -n 1

It was discovered (see bug's URL) by krigstask. but he seems to be too shy to report this himself, so he asked me to do it =)

I dunno about consequences of not-replacing-vars, but it seems, that this is far from vital issue =)

I think I've fixed in in 10.52_pre6272-r1. Please give it a spin and reopen this bug report if it turns out I missed some.
