I did an emerge sync and emerge -u world, and Gnome was updated to 2.4. Since then, GnuCash crashes just after it displays the "Tip of the day". I completely uninstalled it (emerge unmerge gnucash), then reinstalled it with the following options: +nls +postgres +ofx (env USE="+nls +postgres +ofx emerge gnucash"). The build was succesful. Still crashes. Sadly, I don't have another Gentoo box where I could try this out. Here is the error message: gtkhtml-ERROR **: gconf error: Configuration server couldn't be contacted: Adding client to server's list failed, CORBA error: IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0 aborting... Ok. I got it working. I checked the bugs related to gtkhtml, and found bug #28787. It seems gtkhtml needs gconfd-1 to be running. On my system, only gconfd-2 is running. So when I start gconfd-1, and then GnuCash, it works fine. I don't know if gconfd-1 is supposed to be running or not (bug or feature?). Anyways, I should be able to live with that. This bug is thus a duplicate of 28787 I guess. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 28787 ***
