mdadm produces error messages on shutdown: Shutting down RAID devices (mdadm) ... mdadm: stopped /dev/md? mdadm: failed to stop array /dev/md?: Device or ressource busy It manages to stop some devices. Whether a filesystem was mounted on a device doesn't make a difference.
