Description Alexandre Rostovtsev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-02-11 10:57:05 UTC
The www-client/chromium-bin-5.0.308.0_p37385 ebuild in the tree creates symlinks to nss and nspr libraries for chromium's use. It expects to find these libraries in /usr/lib/nss and /usr/lib/npsr; but starting with dev-libs/nspr-4.8.3-r2 and dev-libs/nss-3.12.5-r1, these libraries are installed in /usr/lib instead.

As a result, after installing the newest versions of nss and nspr, chromium-bin fails to run:
$ chromium-bin
./chrome: error while loading shared libraries: libnss3.so.1d: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Thanks for the report!

chromium-bin ebuilds now check nss/nspr versions and pick the correct path
