according to the URL given above (https://launchpad.net/gwibber) the version of gwibber in portage is out of date. the latest version is 2.29.1 Reproducible: Always
Hi, I've written a new ebuild for to the 2.29.1 version. The dependencies were most parts from the INSTALL file and little from startup failures. I have to admit, that my gnome is fairly ~amd64 and maybe the should a hole lot of deps. My current /etc/portage is at http://svn.xmw.de/gentoo-gaf/de.xmw.m.io/etc/portage/package.keywords/ . Please take a look at http://svn.xmw.de/gentoo-overlay/ for this ebuild and related packages outside of the tree as: dev-python/oauth from http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=290159 dev-db/desktopcouch modified from http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=290160 I would like to hear some test report about the ebuild. I'll test it on stable amd64 machines by tomorrow. Michael
Hi! Michael: I've tested your ebuild on my stable amd64 system: 1. downloaded desktopcouch and gwibber ebuild from you repo 2. unmasked the following packages: dev-db/desktopcouch dev-python/pygtk dev-python/oauth 3. emerged gwibber There were no errors while building and running, however I don't have a tray icon. Maybe this "is not a bug, it's a feature"? Thanks for the ebuild!

Im going to check this out. Ive already bumped oauth and desktopcouch and I'll be doing gwibber over the course of this weekend. Thanks for your help and contributions, they are greatly appreciated. Best regards,
Thanks Michael, great work, I've bumped the ebuild to the 2.29.92.1 version and it has been commited to portage, closing... :)

Can't find any references in the sources, was it removed by upstream?
