Dnsruby is a pure Ruby DNS client library. It provides a complete DNS client implementation, including DNSSEC. It can also load (BIND) zone files. Dnsruby has been used in OpenDNSSEC and ISC's DLV service. Gems are now hosted on gemcutter.org. Attached you'll find an ebuild for dnsruby 1.43, based on ruby-fakegem eclass. I'm no ruby expert, but this library is needed as dependency for another package. The package seems to work for me.

It would be helpful to know the package of which this is a dependency, and whether that is already part of Gentoo or whether there is a bug open for its addition.
I was still working on the dependency ebuild :) Bug #304733 contains a new proposed ebuild for net-dns/opendnssec, which has dnsruby as a hard dependency
Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Justin.
