Description OneOfOne 2010-02-03 10:57:22 UTC
It depends on symbols that were removed from the X server, which leads to a frozen VM.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge xf86-input-vmmouse
2. vim /etc/X11/xorg.conf -> set input driver to vmmouse
3. startx

Actual Results:
It freezes, can't ctrl+alt+f1, can't do anything except ssh'ing in and restarting X with the regular "mouse" driver.
error in the log :
/usr/bin/X: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/input/vmmouse_drv.so: undefined symbol: xf86LoaderReqSymLists

there's a patch @ http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-input-vmmouse/patch/?id=43e123c2f4fadfdf6e7cf5aa864102d82e40fe4b that fixes it (tested locally"
